Where Can I Find Peace?

Today, so many people are stressed to the max!  Humanity was not created to live in a state of no-peace!  The bible tells us that “In the last days (Gk.=last of the last before Christ returns) perilous, dangerous, difficult, stress- filled days shall come…).  Medical science has proven that the  human spirit, soul and body will not function as they should when there is no peace.

Have you ever had a time in your life when no matter what you did, you couldn’t seem to find peace?  Well, one might ask, if this is what’s coming on the earth,  how can I have peace in the midst of no peace?
There have been several times in my life when it seemed I could not find peace… and it was terrible.  But God…For those of you who may have experienced these times and for those of you who may be in such a time right now, there is Light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.

According to God’s Word, you can have peace in the midst of the storm.  Colossians 3:15 tells us, could be translated: “Let the peace of God call the shots in your life….”“Let the peace of God be the umpire in your life and actions….”“Let the peace of God act as referee in your emotions and your decisions….”.
In other words, It’s up to us… whether or not peace rules in our hearts… or not!  The Bible tells us in Isaiah 26:3 & 4  (Amplified® Bible)

26:3  You will guard him {and} keep him in perfect {and} constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, {and} hopes confidently in You.

26:4  So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].

That is, the mind that has confidence in God shall not be agitated by the trials to which it shall be subject; by persecution, poverty, sickness, want, or bereavement.

So the Question is, How can I find Peace and what do I need to do to have it be my continual state of being regardless of the circumstances and situations I encounter?

~~~
First of all, You must receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord! (Rms.10:8-10)  He alone is the Prince of Peace! (Isa.9:6)  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. The Bible says (Eph.2:14)  that “He is our Peace…”  When you receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord in your heart the Holy Spirit will come into you and the peace of God like you’ve never known before will live inside of you.
Once you’ve made Jesus your Savior and Lord, you need to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which will be evidenced by the manifestation of speaking in tongues; ( Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; Mk 16: 17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe;  In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues).  Once you have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, you can build yourself up by continually praying in the Holy Spirit! (Jude 20) But you, beloved, BUILDING YOURSELVES UP on your most holy FAITH, PRAYING in the HOLY SPIRIT… (or In Tongues)
A third thing you must do to have the Peace of God Rule in your Heart is (Cols.3:2)” Keep your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth”; (Isa.26:3)  ISV
“You will keep perfectly peaceful the one whose mind remains focused on you, because he remains in you”.
Last but not least,  Study the Bible especially the New Covenant (the New Testament)!  Spend most of  your time in the Epistles… for they will tell you Who you are In Christ, What You are In Christ and What belongs to You as a child of God and what doesn’t!  (Rms.1:16; II Thes 1:1-4; 2 Peter 1:2-4)
Remember,  “For he is our peace…”,  Therefore become intimate with HIM, learn  to hear and obey the voice of  His Holy Spirit within you.
Have a Blessed day, and as you meditate on the words herein, let His Peace wash over you!!!  In Him  Garth & Virginia
